Question: Why are you accredited in eastern states, when you live in Nevada?

Answer: The Family History Library (Salt Lake City) divides the world into different parts for their accreditation program. I chose eastern states, because I have experience in Pennsylvania and New York research. In 1997 I physically researched in Pennsylvania and will be returning this summer. For the last few years I have worked with two professionals who specialize in New York.



Question: Why don't you specialize in Nevada research?

Answer: I live in southern Nevada and the bulk of the records for Nevada are located in Carson City in northern Nevada.



Question: My families were not Mormon, why would you go to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City? I have been told that the FHL only has Mormon records.

Answer: No, the FHL has microfilmed records from all over the world. They house cemetery records, federal and state census records, church records, county histories, court records, land & tax records, military records, vital records, etc.
